Hey. when i did the bucket seat change in my ’03 usinf what I think are 02 bucket seats, I noticed a couple of things.
First, the 60% seat/console mounting is partially bolted in place. You need to remove the back of the seat first and then unbolt the side section. It was a while back but i actually used my original frame from the driver’s seat on the replacement bucket; the bolts are all under the seat.
Next, The seat pans, the part everything bolts to and the foam is connected to, both the drive’s side and the passenger’s side are the same and interchangeable. There are holes on both sides of the pan so either a Driver’s or Passenger’s side track will bolt up. (there are hole for the levers on both sides)
So what does this equate to… if you can find a good passenger side seat, which is a standard bucket (the 4-% side) you should be able to bolt your original driver’s side track to it.
The only thing is I am not sure of your truck is a ’97 and mine is an ’03 so I am not sure if your seats are the same but everything else body wise is close why not the seats.
Check it out before cutting for the 60/40 mod, it could save you some cutting and if you find a good passenger seat to match it will same a lot of work.
I hope this is understandable, I tend to ramble… lol
Another thing… if you have the center console with the separate arm rest there is a fix for the arm rest sag.
Rock Auto has a kit that works well.
