i worked on a blazer today replacing the plate behind the rotor it had rotted out. that thing is awesome. only 99k on it, it looks real nice. a blazer might be one of my options in picking my 4wd vehicle.
Yeah...I cant stand politics talk. We can all talk til we turn blue but the politicians will do what they want anyway What year blazer? The plate behind the rotor that rotted sounds like its dust shield. That dust shield rot is common with alot of vehicles
im not sure exactly what year i think it was late 90's. its tan with two doors and the tire on the back.
I had a 97 and a 2000. I loved them both. Only issue for both was between 70k-100k the transmissions go. Chevy and GMC blazers have been known for their **** transmissions since the early 90's
oh yea i think i heard about the transmissions before. i think i heard the guy say that he would sell it for cheap. i might talk to him about it. its owned by one of the janitors at my school.
Yea I'm nervous about the tranny though I don't have enough skill to pull the tranny and replace it if I had to
Yeah that is a tough one. I know when I had mine the rebuilds cost around 2800.00. It may be worth taking the chance though
Yea I loved the look of it. It has pretty big tires and has a great stance I've been eyeing it since I saw it.
I wonder since it is a 2 door with the spare on the back if it was the off road edition. Those things are sweet!
Square old body style? My boss has one of those. Did a legit solid axle swap on it. That thing gets DOWN
No it was more rounded. It looked like it would be awesome off road. The wheels were cool too I should have taken a picture of it
gotta love those 4.3 blazers, do some nasty burnouts, lol. another thing to watch out for is if the cooling system has ever been flushed, the dex cool they use in GM's eats the intake gaskets. a buddie of mine used to have an early 90's oldsmobile bravada that was badass, swapped in LS1 engine and i think he SAS'd it... sold it a while back though from what i heard. lemme see if i've got a pic...
