Yup, the title explains it... Here's the story. Parked on ice in front of my dorm today to load up some things for home. Had to put it in 4 high to get off. When I did, it clunked real hard into gear and then made the grinding noise as I pulled away. I took it out of 4 as soon as I got moving, so I wouldn't blow something up. The noise kept up for about 150-200 feet, until I stopped turning the wheel. Then it quieted way down until I got on the highway. It was nowhere near as loud as it was when I was turning, but it was noticeable. Still grinds occasionally, but nowhere near as bad...
What I think: Considering the passenger hub is brand new, I checked the driver's side one.... It was solid. Then just in case, checked the passenger one. Same deal... I'm thinking CV joints? Either that or the differential bearings that were supposed to be bad last week are wearing out now... Your opinion? AND NO, it was NOT off road in the last month...
