Grinding once again in the front end

Yup, the title explains it... Here's the story. Parked on ice in front of my dorm today to load up some things for home. Had to put it in 4 high to get off. When I did, it clunked real hard into gear and then made the grinding noise as I pulled away. I took it out of 4 as soon as I got moving, so I wouldn't blow something up. The noise kept up for about 150-200 feet, until I stopped turning the wheel. Then it quieted way down until I got on the highway. It was nowhere near as loud as it was when I was turning, but it was noticeable. Still grinds occasionally, but nowhere near as bad...

What I think: Considering the passenger hub is brand new, I checked the driver's side one.... It was solid. Then just in case, checked the passenger one. Same deal... I'm thinking CV joints? Either that or the differential bearings that were supposed to be bad last week are wearing out now... Your opinion? AND NO, it was NOT off road in the last month...

yeah yeah yeah we hear you about riding rough.... lol.... i would say either diff bearings or the cv joints.......

id say it was probably going out the same time as the hub bearings...... in my opinion the bad hub bearings put a extra strain on the cv joint......

I was told by a mechanic that the CVs wouldn't make any noise, and by another that they would make a clicking if they were bad... But those two mechanics have ****ed up on my truck before...

I did haha. They replaced the passenger hub... So would the CVs make any noise if they were bad?

Dude, when you came back to my house, the noise was coming from the drivers side cv. It was popping just like mine did when I broke it. Why the **** are they replacing the passenger side hub!?

That's what was wrong apparently... The one mechanic added gear oil, and then sent it to another shop to have the DIFF BEARINGS fixed, and then it turned out that they fixed the hub. I heard THREE DIFFERENT THINGS from TWO MECHANICS... I'm pissed about this...

And another thing! It only does it after I drive it a few miles. It doesn't normally start up until it heats up a little...

Yes it is broken, you probably tore the cv boot, all the grease came out and the bearings inside blew apart like this
