I have thought about the climate control..maybe later

OHC is unneeded for me. I put one in my first Ranger. This time I went for the do it all mirror. Mirror has compass, temperature, auto dimming and a backup cam. I think it is a much cleaner look. Not to mention a whole lot easier to install. If you pick up one originally in a GM, you can get the mirror for $25.00 or less.

OK on the electronics, you’ve done a lot; I was really thinking the Climate Control.

Since you are going all the way with this the badging on the outside fits the project, side emblems are a little bigger than I would like but there probably isn’t much out there.

A name for it, interesting thought, maybe a separate thread asking for name and then a pole…

Lincoln Rg ( Ranger), Ranger SE (Special Edition), FrankenRanger, “The Last One they Built” or Spare Parts.

The truck will turns heads for sure, good work.
Get the Digital Climate Control hooked up !

One more thing… what is this, I mean the key ?

The Clock has a retro look and the radio looks like a Lincoln version of the Pioneer Head Unit in the Rangers and.Exploeres.

How about adding LEDs for the lock unlock positioning.
There is a write up somewhere on it.
That is if you have power door locks.
It looked sweet, red for locked, green for unlocked.

The radio is from a 2010 Scion. Cost me less than $100.00 shipping included. The key is a usb memory stick for mp3's for the radio. I put the stick inside a key fob. The radio options are thin for usb mp3 input. I have since covered the wiper nameplate with black vinyl. The usb port was a duracell, I think, usb lighter adapter charger. It had a blue led in it. I swapped a green one to match the dash. I took it apart and hardwired it to the radio usb port.

I have thought about the led's on the door locks.

I an currently finishing wiring the backup camera/monitor for the rearview mirror. Why did I undercoat BEFORE I ran the camera wire????Duhhh!!!

I have the complete climate control setup in a box ready to be installed. Just need the time/energy.

I will post a how to on the heated wiper setup once I get it done. That reminds me, I need an extra washer bottle.

Lincoln emblem choices are limited. These ones are stupid expensive and impossible to find used.

Got the reverse monitor wired. Camera needs adjusted.

Pic of the radio/ bezel controls at night. Yes I know the orange is not green. Yes I know it doesn't match. The radio has over 30 tiny leds. It will stay orange and I will learn to deal with it. Preview of washer heater mod.

Painted lid black and repainted tailgate today. Mmmmm Urethane....Weeeeeeee :stuart::wacko::nuke:

Billet tilt lever came in the mail today..:thumbup1:
Chrome stainless door handle covers came in on Friday.:thumbup1:

I'm going to replace the black 06 mirrors with chrome ones.
I think I need chrome bumpers..
Will a chrome front bumper from a 4wd fit with my 2003 Edge valance/foglights????

I'll probably end up leaving the truck black.

Finally got a Mazda chrome rear bumper. Not perfect, but I got it for $50.00 so it will do for now.
I got the stainless door handles on. The correct year matching one for the tailgate is in the mail.
I put the chrome mirrors on about 2 weeks ago. The mirror heaters are in but not wired yet....

chrome mirrors & bumper look good! i'd be interested to see how you create the heated mirrors, that would be nice to have when it's rainy out, seems the 06+ mirrors fog up fairly easy.

also you need a set of those chrome wheelcovers LMC truck sells!

heated mirrors would be nice indeed.

I dont have issues with them fogging up, but the frost and ice during winter is a pain

    Thanks guys,
I have aluminum 16" Mustang wheels for summer use. I would like a set the fits the Lincoln theme a bit better, but for now I have about $150.00 invested in all 4 wheels and tires.
The heating elements are already installed.Just not wired to the timer. I bought stick on elements from fleabay for cheap. I had to separate the mirror glass from the plastic holder that fits in the main housing. The elements are self sticking. I then used weatherstrip adhesive to reattach the glass to the holder. Then pop the assembly back in. It really was fairly simple. You could use Explorer glass with the elements already on, just swap them into the Ranger housings, but they are pricy.
The timer I chose is from a S70 Volvo.part number.9148300 89 8756 000. It's a 0-12 min timer preset to 10 minutes. I am going to use the rear defogger switch on my Explorer radio bezel to trigger the timer. 10 min later the elements auto shut off. Another way I have seen done on other vehicles is wire the elements to the windshield defroster.

Now I need to find a chrome 4wd front bumper.....

All I can say is Omg lol. You must have the mind of an engineer, the foresight of a sculptor the patience of a saint and the back of a 20 year old. Awesome project.

Good for you!!! Congrats on the recovery and keeping truckin' on!!

GREAT work on the truck, by the way! The interior is amazing! I look forward to seeing more updates on its progress.

Earlier you asked the question would a chrome XLT 4x4 bumper fit your Edge...YES it would. You'll want a '01-05 chrome bumper from a XLT 4x4 truck. Below is a 2001 Edge with a chrome bumper...

I've always wanted to see these wheels (in brushed as pictured or full chrome) on a Ranger, but it may require wheel spacers to look right on a Ranger...
