yeah, seeing the pic of the rear of the truck, it is calling out for the lincoln emblem on the mud guards
01silverstreak or something of the like? I don't exactly remember... he was one of the first members of Ranger-Forums and he sold the truck some 4+ years ago I want to say.
Mark LT mudflaps are on. I was going to install the EATC this weekend but there's a swap meet in Canfield. That side step I put on has got to go away.
Believe it or not, only once. The steps seemed like a good idea at the time. I think my legs were shorter when I put the step on.
Lol...they all seem that way. I took my step bars off my truck but the kids and wife couldnt get in so I put them back on lol
still a little confused on whats going on here, but big ups to you for doing it, you gonna swap out the tail lights? i would either go with LED's, or 06 tail lights with the L1224R's... just my 2 cents
To explain what I have done is easy. I have fully converted my Ranger into a Lincoln. I get 1 or 2 comments a week from strangers saying, "I did not know Lincoln made a mini truck". Sort of a clone of a truck that never existed. It is without a doubt unique and one of a kind. That gives me a lot of pride in my creativeness. The L1224R are very interesting. Bonus points because they are OEM Ford. The 06 tail lights would be a slight improvement. Not a top priority since the 03's are already red/white without any amber. Going to a swap meet today. I may come home with tail lights if they are reasonable. LED light housings are not in my plan. Part of my personal challenge is to keep the parts OEM Ford as much as possible.
Well, finishing bench testing the EATC. I had to buy an actuator. You can't use an early actuator with a late style head unit. Tonight I finished modding in green led's in the EATC head unit. I saw the 06 tail lights in real life. They do look much better. Bought a set for $49.00. Free shipping
I missed an easy update to the interior. I used the same heavy black vinyl sticker material that I put on the rear defog switch plate. I covered up the SCION on the stereo. Boy sometimes those little details make such a difference. I hated that it said SCION. I had not even thought once about covering it with a black sticker.
EATC is in..I also swapped the chrome tailpipe end for a stainless one. I have the 06 tail lights and L1224R leds. I had a minor issue with my harness for the L1224R bulbs. I think I will install the tails and wait for the parts to come in to finish the LED's. I also covered up the SCION on the stereo..Much better...
More progress...I changed the door sills, installed the 06 tails and LED backup lamps. I am waiting on a set of sockets to fab up a plug n play harness for the L1224R LED brake/park install. I also swapped a stainless exhaust extension for the rusty chrome one I had.
looking good man, I had to pull a video to compare lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Scjm66-l4oM
