yeah depends where it is as to what we use. we haul it out to my brothers for seasoning and storing since he has lots of room. but the stuff we cut at his place we just use his quad and a 8' x 8' trailer. cant use that on the highway though haha. to slow and slightly illegal

nice pile right there. Its about time for us to get back in the bush soon. once some of the snow melts. Its nicer to cut in winter when everything's cold, but with 5' of snow in the bush, it aint happening haha
not bad at all. a buddie of mine gave me the hatchet for christmas a couple years back, i use it to cut down kindeling wood, takes almost no effort to split most of it, as long as you go with the grain the weight of the axe head and gravity splits it right through. i wouldin't mind one of those axe's myself!
yeah I think it would be a good investment. Considering we burn wood for heat all winter haha. if it makes it easier to cut with, well worth it in my books.
picked up a fiskars x7 hatchet for my dad for upcoming fathers day. his old hatched for splitting kindling is getting pretty dull and wore out. figure this will be a good upgrade for him. Also picked up a fiskars x15 chopping axe for myself. will mount it to the ranger for use when in the bush getting firewood, offroading, and general wood chopping needs. Will probably grab an x27 for splitting later. local store has em at 20% so it was a nice bonus considering I was gonna get em anywys. Initial impressions from just holding them, and looking them over. Top quality **** right here. STUPID sharp. and the claims of the non stick coating on the blade, yep. its slippery as hell! cant wait to get chopping with these
them things havent even left my truck yet lmao. havent touched em since the night I bought em. wood pile is still covered under snow, more snow than i wanna shovel just to test an axe haha. so no pics yet
