Led mod photos . These are of the headlight switch, but it's the same principle.

I'll post some photos of the finished leds when I'm done.

The reason you need the oem Ford bulb holders is that Ford has the contacts on the opposite side of the pcb(the side the bulb is on). The ebay ones have the contacts on the back side of the pcb. This makes the led mod a lot more difficult.
I bought a bad pcb from a guy on ebay. I got it for the bulb holders. I want to have a set ready to swap right in.

Eh...It happens. Luckily it's tilted that way! The other way would have been not pleasant. haha. Mine are slightly off too but I had all axis/infinite variable to deal with during my install.

    Looks good!

Yes, I agree. Titled that direction is "acceptable" The projector rotation is extremely sensitive. I'm probably off 1/16 at the projector.

    Thanks

from what I have heard from shane is its suppost to have 2.5" drop at 25 feet

Yes that it correct. Personally, I have never liked adjusting headlights at 2.5" at 25 feet. I set these to be almost level at 25 feet. I will run them and see if they annoy anyone. Usually when I set headlights like this, no one flashes me. (at least with head lights that have a real cutoff.) I have adjusted 7" round E Code headlights in other vehicles like this.

I've got mine set at 2.5" or 2.25" drop at 25'....low side of the cut-off. I get flashed every once in a while probably because my lamps and truck are so high off the ground. But on paper, I'm within spec. Having them straight on I wouldn't dare run....because I'll be blinding everyone...defeats the purpose of a retrofit.

Shawn, what projectors are you running again? Cut-off looks like current gen D2S.

Yes they are D2S. I am running OEM Matsush*ita ballasts and ignitors from an Infinity G37.
At the truck, the center of my headlights are about 36". A lifted truck would change things.

WELL....I took a bit of a road trip today. About 100 miles each way..
With my Jet chip installed..My truck is an 03 Edge with a 3.0v6 5 speed and 4.10 traction lok rear end. 215/85/16 tires...30.4" diameter.
The chip is for a 2000 Ranger with a 3.0v6 automatic.
When I got off the interstate my trip computer showed my mileage to be 24.2MPG
The mileage was still increasing. The trip computer connects to the OBD II port and shows live mileage and averaged mileage. I did not reset it before the trip. It started at 20.5 MPG for around town mileage. The trip computer has the corrected tire size input. Verified by comparing trip computer speed to actual GPS speed.
So I got about a 4MPG improvement from city to highway.
The other chip I had was for a 1998 Expedition and gave me a 2mpg increase over a non chipped truck.
This "CORRECT" Jet chip (for a 3.0) gave me 2mpg more or 4MPG over a stock non chipped truck.
    I am pleased.....

My trip today was to a Pick a Part I had never been to before. It was a 95 miles or so away. It was ok but they didn't have a lot of vehicles. Great prices though.
I did get a carpeted rear cab panel with the cargo net. I also picked up an A pillar trim to try a mod on. Got an interesting rear cab tool tray/ jack cover from a Dakota. $18.00 for it all. Well plus the $32.00 in gas..HA HA HA

What are you doing to the A-Pillar, you said “to try a mod” ?
The rear carpeted panel has to help with cab noise, if/when you take it apart add some sound deadening material to the rear wall, that helps a lot. I still need to drop the roof interior panel and add some sound deadening material to teat area and the doors. Doing the rear of the cab made a big difference in the sound level inside of the cab.

Next time you go to a JY look for a 2WD Radio Bezel for me please… the one with only the cig lighter, no other ports, the surface doesn’t need to be perfect but the rear mounting pins (4) need to be there, clips too if possible. Thanks.

E-Bay is asking $40 to $50, which is too much but that OK, the prices are where they are since they are hard to find.
Hoping for a $20 special and $10 shipping.

I'll look next time. I am guessing those are only on early years 2wd. later ones all have power port. If I get bored and remember, I'll look in my factory parts DVD and get more info for you.
Pillar..I am thinking about a gauge pod welded in to be one piece pillar. I don't really think the pod is going to go well with my Lincoln interior though. I really need/want a real oil gauge. I also have a 2 1/8" dash mount air filter minder. I got an extra pillar so I can mess around without screwing up my interior.
Yep, I want to put some sound proofing in the rear. I figured the carpet would quiet it down a lot.
I wired in the timer for the heated mirrors last nite. I need to run the wires to the elements to finish it up.

thinking the 90 era, 95, 6, 7 maybe 98 and 99 but I know the 95 I found had it but the bezel was removed and the pins were broken off, still in the dash.

Sorry for posting on your interior buildup thread, just thought of it and hoped that you might find something.

No problem with the thread, My 2wd 97 XLT had lighter and power port in bezel. You're looking for 95 or 96 only..

I'm thinking it is based on model, my XL had no power port or fogs but the 98 XLT had them.
Not sure if the XL still exists or when it may have been stopped.

Either way 95 and newer will fit.

Thanks if you can get one.
