up under the dash by the ash tray. This model has an LCD screen that has 6 different background color options
i have the cobra 29 wx nw st and having a cb is great, i use the weather on it alot to get updates on weather around me and have it set so while im listening to talking on the cb and there is a weather warning it will make a noise to tell me to switch back, and cb are awesome! trucker are funny to talk with, they tell you where there a speed traps and what else is happening, and brad do you need an antenna? i have one i could sell you that would match your truck
They're good to have around in case you need it ever. I was using mine yesterday to direct a rig that was lost in the city streets as I was guiding him around cars, signs and lightpoles. First time I really used it since I bought it lol
I have been debating picking one up. But like some other people on here, I'm not sure how much use I would get.
The main reason I would get it is for wheeling but I would be the only guy on the trail with one lol. Doesn't having two antennas be worse than having one. I thought they kinda canceled each other out.
I dont know, I'll have to do some research. My buddies dodge has two Wilson sticks set up on a tuned Cobra. I'll have to talk to him about it....
if they are untuned then yes they are pointless, and it depends on how close you have them to eachother, i have duals fiberglass on mine and they are about 4 ft from eachother and i pick up everything really well
Having the dual antennas only makes the range drop by a couple miles. They only interfere with each other a little bit. I never had any issues with them though. And if you mod the radio to give it more power then you have no worries about running duals. What you could do if you like the look of it is run one working and the other as the dummy. Looks the same, functions so much better.
not everyone knows how to mod them, and it really depends on if you tune them and the spacing between them
Yeah, they're supposed to be 6' apart. But the bedsides are about 5' so you can get away with running two working antennas.
Lol i have a stepside, so the duals is pointless I suppose. I'll just order a 4' firestick and be done with it.
