Do this first, and let it sit for a while and tack up. This is one of the reasons why we had to take it off one of the three times lol Gasket wasn't sticky enough, and it moved.

well, I see water coming from this bolt in the pictures, only thing it does not appear to be water pump weep hole but maybe a blown out water pump gasket or could it be the thermostat housing deal? here are pics
Idk if you saw my thread, but mine was both. The thermostat housing has a crack in it, so antifreeze/water was pouring from it. Might be what your problem is.
lol It happens man! Lmao. Went on my dakota around 85k, went on mine at 135. It's not too bad. Shouldn't be a head gasket either. I'd say take it to a shop and get a pro's opinion

ok, not the water pump, it is coming from what looks like the intake manifold, but no water on top by the t-stat housing, looks like a pita to replace that if that is it and not a crack in the block But I think it the same as yours Pete
It's probs the same. I took it to a garage because I was told that it could be the timing plate gasket, but it only turned out to be the stat housing. It seemed almost like it was the intake, which is what caused the thoughts of the t plate.
ok thanks now to look up the timing plate gasket info too hahaha well it is a 2001 trouble free with 169k miles must have been time for something to go
Yeah lol It was. I'd say it was the thermostat housing for sure, but I can't quite tell by your pics. Take er to a garage tomorrow morning and see what they say about it before you go tearing into her.
I gotta tear into it I figure if I can rebuild a honda this ford should be easy lol Just I am old school carbs, no throttle body stuff no efi, no electronics but after reading your thread again why would they have to pull the intake to replace the thermostat housing upper and lower?
