the wife got scammed

She thought she was going to surprise me with a new wireless stereo system, The deal... She was shopping at the local store when she was walking to the car a couple guys approached her and asked if she wanted a sound system PARAMAX P7 suggested MSRP $2499.00 for 300.00 bucks, she only had 200 so they sold it to her for that.
It does work, but it is not wireless and really need to use a receiver with it. cause it is basically speakers . I was mad at first but I realize she was doing it for me.

So everyone be warned white van and white pickup with california plates
 
not around me but she didnt think anything was fishy when they said they go for $2499 but well sell it to you for $300 you only have $200 thats fine. Sorry she got scammed but least it was for a good cause
 
That sucks, she had good intentions though. There are alot of people doing that around here and they approached me a few times. I told them if they show me permits allowing them to solicit these things I will buy them. They usually walk away

When I was up near you ****ing mexicans and Talibans ran everything made me sick. The damn hotel I stayed in had a Buddha shrine in it
 
She knew better, I think she might have been a little scared by them who knows . She said she wasn't scared of them, just thought a great deal... They do work and sound good but a receiver would work best with them. I figure at least they were not empty speaker boxes lol
 
these dudes came by my old work trying to sell this crap. it's a full scam and they always say it's an expensive system when it's really just junk.
 
They were around here a year or so ago... white van with a surround sound system.
The old "I've got to sell this or my boss will fire me" routine. $4000 system for $100.

I told them I'm deaf in one ear & it wouldn't do me much good LOL! (I'm not really deaf, but I have selective hearing)

About half an hour later I saw them again trying the same scam on another guy in a parking lot. By then the cops were on the way & had a long conversation with them.
 
"Hey man, we had an extra sound system left over from a delivery. This thing is worth like $2,500. You wanna buy it? We'll sell it to you for $400."

Thats the story that some guys gave me.
 
I know she wont do that again, but I am not mad at her cause she thought I would like it, I was surprised that's for sure hahaha I need to find a digital stereo receiver now to see if they can reallyput out the 1500 watts or something like that , I would have to double chk that, they do look nice and play but I dont think 200 bucks worth of nice

My Old boss bought a "1959" Gibson Les Paul in a similar situation. He was sitting on his front deck playing guitar when this Range Rover pulls up and the guy offers to sell this sunburst Les Paul for $500, My boss paid a little less then that and took it. He ran the serial number and it turns out it a 70s Les Paul, but who cares, it still sounded beast. Who knows maybe this sound system will sound amazing once it set up right, even though its not wireless.
 
yeah, I am happy with the sound coming out of it, as I found out that an optical cable is used for audio hahaha I figured OPTICAL meant video no no it is used to bring in a digital audio signal So everything is hooked up and sounds great at least to me . To bad for the les paul at least it was not a copy

He is still happy with it, for the price he paid for it, he still has no regrets with it. Its nice sunburst, in good shape for a 40 year old axe :)
