Octane

Depending on what year Ranger you have, Ford recommends for 93+ that I know of. I would recommend trying some seafoam for the engine block if its pinging. It may have alot of buildup

I've used seafoam in it just last week. The truck has always seen 89 octane. Just thought I would try 87, so I will go back to the good stuff again.

I use 87 in mine, no problems at all with the fuel octane

Clinton, where did you see octane rated at 93+ ?

Howdy Men!!...
My book says I can use 10% ethanol and no more. No E85...

Drive On!!...
Fast freddie

Hahahaaa.... Oddly enough I have the "V" indicator as the 8th vin number,:whistling: although the chart only went up to 2008 for rangers, and didn't list the 4.0 So I would surmise that I better take a close look at th' Pump to see what they are dispencing... :thumbup1:

Thanks Fellas
Fast Freddie
