Hmm.....that's odd. That's all I've ever ran on mine ever since I replaced the factory ones at 60k or so during my lift install. Moog #K8695T (Problem Solver). They went in beautifully and the unplanned replacement of one last year was a breeze as well. All with the same factory LCA's.

EDIT: I see Moog offers two lower balljoints for torsion bar trucks....one is the K8695T and the other is K8695T006. Both Problem Solver line products. The keynotes list that it is an oversize ball joint. Sounds like you got the wrong joints.

Yes, I think so too. Bought them at Rockauto about a year ago..I was suspicious when they were so hard to get in. I don't remember the ones I put in my 97 being so tough. I can check the boxes tomorrow, but that doesn't always mean much.
It's done and they are in. Now I need to replace the uppers that I just discovered had some play in them.

Got the upper control arms installed today. I ended up with made in China ones. Not what I wanted but, when you deal with internet, sometimes things don't go as planned. I think Rockauto misrepresented them, but it's not worth me fighting over it. I needed them in and done. Inspection is due the end of June.
The arms are very heavy duty looking. Heavier than the stock TRW's. We'll see how they hold up.
On a good note, my 2003 2WD Edge has the square washers on the control arm bushings. No cam adjusters. So I shouldn't need an alignment immediately.

Were they the oversized (K8695T006) or standard ball joints?

I checked the box and they were the standard ones. At least that's what the box said...
