40 foot maple tree i cut down in my driveway had to move it out of my driveway i have a vid of it on my facebook
6 x 10 box trailer, weighs 1,000 empty, had a load of oak firewood in it one time that was heavy enough to cause weight transfer off of the front truck tires, when stopping the front tires would slide, dont know how much weight was there. went through town in 4L with hubs unlocked, felt like a semi going up through the gears but not moving very fast. and for reference, this it what it normally looks like when its hooked up, i didnt load it as much as it could have been, i think i had enough weight in there as it was, here it is with the trailer nearly empty:
most I ever towed was a 2 place horse trailer with 14 sq of shingles. And a 2.5 motor and transmission for my 98. About 6k pounds.
9300 lb Duramax, five miles out of the woods when his driveshaft snapped lol That was one hell of a trip! Barely made it out on my own, and had to call in a beater to push on the ass of it when I couldn't make it up the hill. And they say these things are rated for 2.5 tons..... HAH!
This: 800 pond trailer with a 2300ish pound tractor. Not a lot but the Ranger sure didnt like towing it!
biggest thing i've pulled was my buddie's diesel F350 when he killed the trans 4 blocks from my house. as for normal towing, just a couple of differant log splitters, and a small utility trailer with a lawn tractor on it. all with the bumper hitch (i really want a nice class III 2" recever hitch someday )
The most my ranger has ever towed was 2 1/2 ton of steel between the truck and standard 4/8 lawnmower trailor and that was all done off the stock bumper for 6 years! My dad caused all that damage but I have since put a receiver hitch on the truck and modified the trailor! I still haul loads of metal with the same set up I bought from my dad but I have barely ever reaches 1000 lbs so I'm not killing it!
Not to get off subject but my gpa hates our Mahindra lol. He is an old timer who thinks the whole thing should be able to withstand a shotgun blast and be able to rip a tree out of the ground lol. But Iv seen him do some pretty crazy things with that tractor...
