Inline 6 swap

I Highly doubt it would fit without a modified/tortured firewall. Best bet's to swap in a mildly built 302 to match the torque specs of the I6. If you do it, I wanna see it...it'd be awsome IMHO.

I might attempt it. Would totally be worth it in the end imo. Might even extend the nose a tad. I've seen that done on sine custom trucks and it can look pretty awesome.

Not to be a dick, but why on earth would you pick that motor? I know it's a good motor, and has lots of torque, but there are much better power plants to use for a swap. The amount of time, money, and frustration involved in swapping a 4.9, you could damn near do a 4.0 swap, and a SAS. Ha ha

Just my thoughts. To each his own!

Have you ever owned an f-150 with a 4.9L????

I did it was my DD for 3 years, 1986 4.9 with a manual. got around 9mpg. no power honestly i would never want one again

I did it and love it

I put a 91 SWB Ranger body on a 91 FS Bronco frame with a 300. Its a tank!
