so the blower for the heater and air in my truck seemed to just stop working today :/ air still comes out barely, so how do i fix this problem because its cold now and i need it, any ideas

the air will blow out like normal on lowest setting but when i turn the nob to full ill here something moving and then the air is still blowing at the lowest

yea that thingy lol, i had to replace mine. blower would only work on one speed half-assed, put new one in and it works perfect. i bet thats your problem. its easy to get to as well

Under the hood, in the heater housing.
You will see the wires.
Sometimes it is just connections.
If not the connections and you replace the resistor pack, consider soldering each connection and use heat shrink over each connection, the kind with adhesive in it.

yea where he's saying, a wiring harness plugs into it and u can buy the resistor and swap old with the new. i cant visualize it super good, wish i had a pic

If it is the resistor pack I believe the blower will only operate on high, at least that was how it was on my Escape and my Dodge Dakota.

yea thats what mine did. i remember cleaning the leaf that was stuck in my blower too haha

Mine has 1,2,3 are low, 4 is high.
Has anyone just cleaned the connections ?

Understandable, work, work, too much work is not good… unless you need the money!
I have never read anything on the site about the outcome of the connector replacement. A lot of people say to do it but I just wondered if anyone did any tests to qualify the Connector Replacement instead of replacing the Resistor Pack.
I too have a lot of last minute projects so I can’t test the theory YET but will try too when I get the old Round To It !

well i replaced the resistor and pig tail.... and still nothing, what else could it be?

Wow, that is usually the problem… but you did say there was no blower on any speed.
Find out if you have 12 volts at the plug that attaches to the resistor pack.
From here I am guessing, check out the fuse and the heater speed switch on the Heater/AC Panel.
Find out if there is power at the switch.
If there is power in but none out then replace the switch.
Too bad the resistor pack didn’t work, I would have thought it was the problem.

im glad i replaced it, it was soo rusted and the pigtail was rusted in place so i had my dad cut and re wire it all for me, and im on my way to get a new fuse just in case
