Hey guys! Im a dreamer if ya cant tell. I was reading a diesel power mag and it was talkin bout putting some 19.5" rims on dualies because theyre 70,000 mile+ tires. This means if you put em on a Ranger, theyd be well over 100,000 mile tires! But is it possible? Im sure youd have to change the whole hub for bolt pattern reasons... then theres the whole "its a 19.5 inch rim" fitment issue... But itd be a cool idea! :thumbup1:

I am just worried about the rubber compound on semi tires. They must be designed for the weight of semis therefore I dont think they'd perform well or even safely under the little weight our ranger has to offer. Besides who knows how expensive those tires can be to replace.
Um first off, 19.5s arent semi-s wheels. They're Dodge 3500 stock wheels. Big rig wheels are 22.5s and 24.5s Second, those tires are so stiff and require more than 150 PSI in them that your kidneys would fail 2 miles down the road. Third, yes, they do sell 10 bolt adapters but ONLY for 8 bolt wheels. And fourth, Bang! you've been served.
If you want to do the work of throwing an F450 suspension under your truck and make everything out of iron and lead lol
19.5 is a semi rim lol. At least a heavy duty rim anyways. They use em on UPS trucks, which might as well be a semi lol. And in the article I read, they said they wouldnt advise putting them on anything under 9000 lbs because of the harsh ride
Its a panel van with a Workhorse chassis (basically chevy). Trust me. Im a medium, heavy duty suspension parts pro.
Lol Workhorses are the "newer" body style and theyre gas. Weve got some trucks that are older than me sportin diesel engines. Im definitly no pro but I disagree that theyre "medium duty". Besides, these trucks are bigger than the semis we use lol.

Truth! Will add though that 19.5's are actually Medium Duty. AKA Dodge 4500/5500, Ford F450/F550, Chevy 4500/5500, etc/blahblahblah. Generally all hydraulic brakes. I drive 'em all the time at work. lol. And in all reality, it's a great idea if you had a fullsize 'cause the bolt patterns are the same as on their 3/4-1ton trucks. But on a Ranger, you'd need like 3 different adapters stacked up like crazy to make 'em fit. lol. Cool concept. Definitely not practical.
Theres the answer I was lookin for lol Anyways, I think they are hydraulic brakes cuz they make this weird grinding noise if you push the brakes when its not running
umm....lolwut? I will add though, some of my info isn't fully correct. By "medium", I pretty much mean "light". lol. Tow world vs. normal people world is a little different. Not many Mediums are hydraulic... And pretty much if it's 8lug as 19.5's are, it's a "baby" in my world. lol.
