03 Ranger - 4 wheel drive, feels like its jumping when in use

Driving in the snow today and every once and awhile it felt like one of the wheels was slipping. It gave a little jump. Didnt do it in the lower gears but when i was in 3rd and going about 30mph. Any recommendations? Transfer Case flush? Temperature is about 0 F with fresh packed snow.

Auto tranny? sounds like you need to drop overdrive, speed up or slow down.
