I've used Fram filters in my 1993 Ranger since I bought it in 1995. No issues at all. Its kind of like the Bosch Spark Plug thing, Bosch Plugs are supposed to ruin your Ranger. I'll pull one of my 65,000 mile old plugs and they will still look new. Remember the Toyota thing a while back??

The 93 and 94 Ranger Kick Panels are deep enough. Only minor mods need to be done to install an amp. A factory ground has to be moved and a couple wires have to be moved up. But no problem. Making the Kick Panel is not a difficult process.
