  1. The cat support is enough to hold up a side exit exhaust. It was able to hold a 12 lb glasspack without a problem.

Gotta love the rust belt, eh? I instantly know when I'm working on a vehicle from say New York or Ohio here in Oregon. Pop the hood and all the fasteners that are shiny on mine are rusted to hell on theirs. lol.

Headpipe meaning between the cats and the manifold? Either way, I suggest a full, new, custom bent & hung system. I've heard a Flowmaster 50 on a 2.5 and it wasn't that bad. Also heard a Delta 40 on a Lima 2.3 (basically the same engine as your 2.5) and the 40 was kinda annoying in the higher rpm's. Heard a Magnaflow on a 2.3 Duratec and it's really quite pleasant to my ears.

The tips you want to use is darn hard to do on our trucks because the leaf is in the way. If you had a lifted shackle, it would make the situation alot easier, but still not easy. Don't get your heart set on those....keep your options open for different tips of that tight of down turn. Cure-all? 4-link it on bags! You'll have plenty of room for T/A tips! lol.

Got any pics of the T/A tips by themselves?

yea id love to get a flowmaster 50 but not for the price. i think ill just get a thrush turbo. i just dont want anything annoying.

by head pipe i mean between muffler and connection before cat. idk im not sure on names of it but i remember seeing it called that when i looked up cat back systems. im thinking i could just get some of the stuff and do it that way than buy a cat back kit.
oh yea i didnt think of the leaf spring/shackles in the way. i do basically have lift shackles though since i have the 2/3 drop so ill have to take a look. well i was planning on making a tip out of stainless and i basically wanted it to come out from above and point down like the t/a pic i have.
here is a tip i made for my old ranger
