I don't need the tool... I've gotten the fan off before without a problem using vice grips and a wrench.

Your point wasn't missed. I have a WRENCH. Not a socket... And you know, my username is all over the thread...
I have a Wrench and SOCKET key word was even lol but no big deal me, hahaha I even have up to a 40 something mm socket bought from a mechanic shop closing up
