    Hi gang!
    I've got a 1996 Mazda B3000 V6 3.0 with the 5 speed manual and 3.45 rear with 212,000 miles.
Ive changed everything except the tranny fluid.
I e got it running good now and need to change the trans fluid as I have no idea if it's ever been changed.
I've read there's different opinions on what I should use as it takes ATF fluid unlike many manual trans.
I've seen Valvoline Maxlife ATF as the best choice according to many for this truck.
Can you guys tell me what you use in your truck for the 5 speed?
    Thx!

You are right, it uses ATF. I would use synthetic ATF only. While at it. replace those three rubber plugs behide the shifter with steel freeze plugs (5/8") or just coat the rubber plugs with silicone.
