ranger or frontier

I hope to be getting a used truck with a v6 soon. When I ask advice about whether to get a 2010 Ford Ranger with 10,000 miles or 2009 Nissan Frontier with 40,000 miles, everyone says to get the Nissan. I enjoy the feel of the Ford better though.
I will need to pull about 3000 pounds up a ramp and tow it sometimes.

1. Is the Nissan really so much better?
2. Are there any good reasons to get the Ford?
3. I can also get a 2010 Ranger Sport. Are those good?

My ranger was used to two 4000+ pounds all the way down to Florida and back up here to PA. No problems with it at all. But with all V6 engines, they bog down when you haul that much. You should be fine with 3000 lbs though. They have enough power to em

i have driven both the nissan frontier and the ranger.... my mom's bf just bought a new frontier.... i will say that it does have some power to it but i dont think it's really better than the ranger... i dont think the ranger is better than the frontier.... i think it's a personal preference....

the frontiers love to be revved high, almost to red line, and that's where they make their most power. just some food for thought, i love those 4.0's cuz they love to scream

I'd honestly get the frontier with the 4L and 6 speed manual, overall its a more modern and refined vehicle that has more proven reliability then modern day tacomas. Its larger then the Ranger and more powerful. My dad has owned 3 nissan trucks in the past 30 years and they are rigs

i just checked out the frontiers on their page. they are pretty cool, and the options to mix and match are great(unlike the tacoma, was just looking at them)

...you could always remove the offending import emblems and put blue ovals in their place. lol.
though seriosly, ive gotton so used to the power & balance of my '93 that i really dont want anything else. im very comfortable with it, while the wife's S-blazer is actually a better vehicle in some respects, i just prefer my old ranger, i dont think id care for a nissan either, even though ive never drove one.
