I have the full 7" screen version the avh4400 (or whatever the model # is) and they're basically the same except for the screen size & buttons.

I still haven't figured out all the gadgets on mine, but even with the stock speakers it sounds great. Built in EQ, crossover, etc. I believe the 1400 also has the 4v preamp outputs for amps which is a good thing.

I wanted as many internal features like the eq & crossover as possible to eliminate the need for more separate components.

Only played around a little with DVD's, but they look really nice as well.

Funny, just looked.
I don't think that happen much.
Pioneer has always been my choice, should be ok.

They are coming lol I'm getting a sub box for Xmas (Hopfully) and I hope I'll b able to afford speakers and all that soon after too
