Hello all, i'm brand new to this forum,so you'll have to excuse if this is not the way to ask this question. I tried doing a search, and it came up with no results.
I have a 08 ranger xlt with the cologne v6 (sohc) with a very well serviced 138k. I will be replacing my tensioners with OEM Ford ones,but need to know which way the oem new metal o- ring seal goes,it has a definite slight "cup" or dome shape..not flat,my 1500 pg factory service book does not specify which wat to install. On asking google answer stated flat or chambered side toward head,problem is there really isn't a "flat" side since it is kind of dome shaped as I stated before,anybody have GOOD knowledge on which way? Some ppl have gotten a major leak installing wrong but didn't state which way they put it on, please help, no rattle or noise and have used ford lubricants since new with 3k oil changes (2x yearly), but alot of ppl stating to change those hydraulic tensioners every 75 - 100k, kinda missed that but just found out about that maint. item, thanks ahead.
