no did notbuy anything, well I did buy a connector harness but it was the wrong one so I used wire taps on each wire so I could leave the factory plug on the wire harness.
On your Pyle when you hide the screen can you just hit the button to hide the screen and does it shut it down and the screen hide? Asking if a cop stops me if I can quickly close it and shut it down...
I just ordered one same as yours with a camera, you'll be hearing from me when I start the install...Thanks for every bodies help !!!
OK, I played a movie and pressed the upper right hand of the screen and the pic. goes away only audio so YES it goes to a blank screen even if watching a movie by touching the upper right corner of the screen.
GOOD TO KNOW
No just the pic goes away AUDIO keeps playing but it keeps you legal that way I guess too?
the bezel hahaha thats it unless you put the metal strap to the unit and to a place under the dash or in that cubble hole you know what I mean lol
Checked out the videos, the truck looks good.
Now for black wheels and black headlights.
How’s the radio working out, Pioneer is a good setup.
I have this radio: Pioneer AVIC-F700BT http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/GPS-Navigation/AVIC-F700BT.
It has the capability to play dvds with an outside DVD player that wires right up, back up camera (separate purchase), and USB input with a long wire so you can pretty much put it anywhere (I have mine running through the dash into the glove compartment so all I have to do is plug in my iPhone/iPod and it pulls up everything on screen) as well as SD card slot and aux in jack in front. My only draw back to this model is in order to have sound through your iPhone/iPod you have to plug in the headphone jack as well. Newer models you can plug right in without worrying about an aux headphone jack. Not that you're looking for that, but just an observation.
The only reason I got it is because my brother got it when he worked at Best Buy for a steal and he upgraded so he sold me this one dirt cheap. But it doesn't have everything you're looking for, but I highly recommend Pioneer for any head-unit, especially when it comes to the double-dins and touch screens. They have come a long way since the model I have and now are even better.
