Hello Ranger Lovers!

Last night I was driving thankfully not far from my home when suddenly my truck started jolting in 3rd gear so I shifted down to 2nd and the 1st…..kept doing it and I wasn’t getting power. The ABS light went on and thankfully I was able to turn on a side road and turn it off. I tried restarting and it just clicks repeatedly. It has a new battery, maybe 6 months old and I just had the oil changed a couple weeks ago. I did run over something in the road one night weeks ago that scared the bajeebers out of me, but I checked things when I got home and it didn’t seem like it had done any damage. All belts are good, muffler was replaced not long ago……I try my best to maintain this truck. Any thoughts? 2 of my friends suggested the alternator, but why would only the ABS light come on if that were the case? Thank you for your advice!
