Personally, I'd be looking for a 95-97 ranger with a 4.0L OHV, low miles, and no rust. There are sooo much more aftermarket support for the TTB...
They can be a PITA I agree. It works well if you push IN on the filter at the same time you're holding the tool and pulling OUT on the fuel line....

No torsion bars....it's a 97. I fit 32's on a stock 2wd ranger. I had to trim the bumper slightly tho. Like 4 inches slightly.... those are 265...
It would be a good candidate for a 4cyl truck swap w/ the 3.27s. But yea, those 3.27s SUCKED with 33's.
