Mixed feelings at the moment...

So as today rolls on, I'm thinking more and more about selling my truck and getting a new Ranger (93-97 preferably) and starting entirely over with it. I was gonna make a thread up about all the problems that this truck has given me since I bought it eight months ago, and keep thinking...Why do I keep dumping money into a thing that is gonna keep breaking and wearing out? I would rather start over with a new truck, sell mine, and then have some cash to put into the new truck. Anyone wanna tell me how you feel about that?

You dont want anything older than a 1990. That way you dont have to deal with the bull**** of swapping out the Dan28 front and ford 7.5 rear to a different axle. Oh and look for a 4.0...those 2.8/2.9s are junk IMO

It would be great if I had the extended cab doors. And I would not mind the upgraded interior over this old 1994.

The latches on the bottom are an extreme pain because after a while they don't work anymore... So yeah. Not all that they're lived up to be. And Clinton, I don't care if it's deja vu for you. I've dumped over 6 grand into this truck in 8 months and I ain't getting anywhere... Now my tranny's going slowly and engine's on it's way out too.

Wel lcant say I blame ya lol. Im kinda in the same boat but backwards... Makin ridiculous truck payments. I wanna go older

Since Iv got about the same state of mind as you, Id say trade it! Take all your cool stuff off this one and put on the newer one!

Get a nice 3rd gen man, like the one you posted earlier.. just make sure you get some cash back from yours you currently have..

I'm looking into a clean one. Never beaten, never taken off road. Then I'm gonna do everything to it before it goes off road so I don't have any headaches.

if yours was standard id trade u straight up in a heart beat

hell if i thought hard enough i might trade u now, but i wanna keep a couple things off mine

If I got any truck, it would most likely be an extended cab that was never off road, although I do really like your truck. I have to talk it over with my parents first and see what they say and maybe this summer I'll finally get rid of it

I should have bought my buddy's 97. Lifted 9" on 35s. He only wanted $1200 for it, but it needed a engine put in and I needed a truck that I could drive home.

9" is too much. 5.5-6 is perfect and leave it at that. With that much lift, it's too much to go wrong.
