Best thing is to have them sandblasted, needed for either the powder coating or paint.
Spray with a good metal etching primer like DuPont.
Spray with what ever DuPont paint you want.

Do not sand blast or paint the hook itself.

Just me but why change the overall look.
There are getting more rare as we speak, someone buy them and clean them up and get them on their truck, they will look good.

id grab em if they were the newer style haha. i need a spare set for when I do my body lift. but do not like this style.

that being said, there is a market for these, so good luck with sale

alright so im going to get these tow hooks completely sandblasted all the threads re-tapped, and the hooks powder coated to a chrome/sliver so they will look brand new and the coating will last longer, so the price will go up $35 for the powder coating, and $10 for retapping

These ones. Closed loop. The older ones are open tow points I do not like open tow points lol. Not as safe.

Thanks… I like the older version, a little character.

As far as being open if you slide the loop of the strap or rope through the middle of the older one and flip it over the top it will lock in place.

You could, but I use shackles lol. Easier and faster haha

really i could get the stock black ones powder coated to look like that

I'd honestly prefer black. There's next to no chrome on the level II's. so the less the better! Black would look great.

Haven't decide if I'll do modded tow points or a front receiver when I body lift.
