yeah i was very lucky. found it at wally-world, good quality remington ammo too. they got the shipment in at 6:00 AM, i got there at 11:00 ish, and they had already sold 3/4 the shipment. only 3 boxes allowed per customer per day, but the clerk told me to just bring the family and get everyone to buy 3 boxes, lol. i was down in town and decided to check on a whim. got really lucky  it seems like all this gun controll BS is starting to quiet down and become "old news", i give it 2-3 more months and things will hopefully be somewhat normal. which can't happen soon enough, i had a 20 guage remington 870 in my hands at wally world and was very tempted to buy, but i don't wanna pay $299 + tax.

Honestly thats about how much they are now all over the board. I remember back in like '06 or '07 I paid $320 for a 870 12g But if this gun control stuff does calm down and fall through, I'm going to laugh at all my friends who went out and bought AR15's for $1800-$2500 when I only paid $800 for mine 2 years ago
Around here my local shop has been getting ar's back in stock and I think they are a little higher than they were before all of this started.
yeah, i've thought about going back and looking at that 870 again, it was an express 20ga, with the laminated wood stock and matte blued barrel, and the barrel was very short. after holding it though i think i'd rather get a mossberg 500 20 guage, like the one i had looked at used but without the water damage.
If the barrel is really short, then its a youth model. I have a youth model 20 gauge, I love it for small game, take the plug out and you can still fit 5 rounds
I rage pretty hard reading articles about this. It's so unnerving and quite frankly, it's scary thinking about what they're potentially planning for. The excuse of lower cost with high volume doesn't cut it anymore now that the true numbers are out. On a lighter subject, I scored 5 boxes of Remington .223 at my local everything store. $8 a box....I'm a happy boy. Now if only I could find some .40 for my new toy...
i think the DHS should let the public shop at their store since we are the ones paying for it anyway..... but that's another issue....
Yeah me too man. I've been keeping an eye on this whole situation. A lot of theories out there, none are really too pleasant. I scored 5 boxes of .223 at cabela's last thursday, $6.99 FMJ
i'll have to keep that in mind haha. last time i was in wally world the cashier was saying to bring the whole family and have 'em each buy 3 boxes, apparently that was another loophole
We have a dunham's sporting goods in my local mall, they have a mall entrance and a outside entrance, I just go out one and in another and use different cashiers
I now have a little bit of .40 finally! Also the new toy, Ruger SR40C. Needless to say, that was more than a couple trips in and out for two people because their max of 2 boxes per caliber per transaction.
