Has anyone came up with a cover up that looks good. My cruise control buttons have rotten out just like every other ranger. I don't want to order new ones for fear of the same same thing happening. Every ranger or expo I see at the junk yard has the same issue. Any suggestions

the ones in my escort were hard plastic rather than the soft rubber that the rangers are like

Get some used ones at a junkyard, I find them alot and as long as they are soft rubber and little wear you will be fine.

when they switched the steering wheel from the h looking design to the design they used until they closed the ranger plant they also switched the cruise switches... they cruise switches that are in my truck are the ones that were in the exploders in the late 90's early 00's...

It's not just a momentary contact. There is a resistance component to identify the button pushed.
