That's one of the nice things about the SCT units, can use it on multiple cars at different times long as you unlock it each time. I have an old X2 that I used initially for my wife's car, then when we got rid of her car for the Sable, used the X2 on my 04 Mustang. Can only be used on one car at a time though.
I do get used units in from time to timewhich run about $25 cheaper then a new unit. Whenever you interested in one, let me know and I'll see what I got.
Well new or used, they work exactly the same. Tuners either work 100% awesome or don't work at all. Not a wear and tear type item. Are you coming to the Ohio Focus / Ranger meet? I'll be there in person and been thinking of running a sale for it.
i will be there as i am in charge of the whole ranger part of the meet. and i wish bud i am spending enough cash on the 5 hour drive down there.
Reminder bump! I'll be bringing some units to showcase at the Focus/Ranger meet this Sunday in Columbus!
You said towards the beginning of this thread that you might soon be able to write your own tunes? Can you? Id rather have someone like you do it than pay a shop an extra $100 or somethin to do it
No, not able to yet. Kinda got put on hold with the kid being born. Most places charge about $65 to $75 for a custom tune, pending where you go.
A lot of people use a guy from Rogue performance. I'll try to see if I can find his contact info or maybe someone that has used him will post it up. He does really high quality tunes for not that expensive comparatively.
I have the comapny info that I used for my tunes, I highly recommend them, they are superfast and cheaper than most
/\/\ If I recall correctly, you used Brenspeed and I HIGHLY recommend them. They dyno tuned the Blue Beast after two other places tried and failed and it's been running flawlessly since they tuned it for me.
And theyre not too awefully far from me! Thatd be awesome. How much did they charge for your dyno tune?
Dyno tunes aren't cheap, it was round $350 if I recall. An email tune would do you just fine and they charge $85 for email tune I think,
Hey Franchi! Iv got a quick question for ya: If I bought a tuner, would it work on all Fords or JUST my Ranger? I was wonderin because if I got a diesel, Id like to use it on it instead of buying a whole new one
