Alright, so I've been weighing my options and I didn't realize that my buddy still had his truck for sale. It needs the engine put in, but it only has 66k on the new motor. 6" suspension, 3" body lift and 35" tires. I'm almost positive that it's a 5 spd. Think it's worth selling my truck for?

I like it, but this is more in my price range, I know the kid because I saw him building it, and I wheeled with him all the time. And I'd rather the extended cab than a single cab. Less claustrophobic lol
it's neat, but it's another project. you've already got a project with the truck you've got, and at least youre truck gets you from A to B. i would only buy a truck like that knowing i'd have another vehicle of my own to drive for when it broke.
Both of our names are on the title. So I technically own it too lol He would let me drive it if I needed to. And the engine can be put in over a weekend if we work constantly
Do you feel confident that YOU can do ALL of the labor? I swapped out my motor and it was a TON of work
honestly man, i doubt that engine could be swapped in a weekend. me & my dad have done tons of engine swaps, the only way it would be done in a weekend is if you skip eating and sleeping and have zero problems. there is a ton of work involved... not saying it's impossible, but give yourself a realistic timeline... like 2 weeks is safe to figure, it leaves time for if there's problems, tools you may not have, differant parts not working, ect, and factors in you & youre dad being at work or school. you'd be suprised at how long a "simple" project can wind up taking.
yea...look how long it took clinton to POR his frame...about a week or so...theres no way you can swap an engine in a weekend...especially this time of year
Well, Idk. I know friends that have. But my dad won't let me sell my truck for this solely because of the swap it'd need.
Yeah, well it's only a good idea until he won't let me sell the damn truck in general. They'd rather dump the money into this rather than back out and get another truck to start over with.
DJ, I like it. But I'm starting entirely over. Here's what I found and like http://scranton.craigslist.org/cto/2846816228.html
