Sposed to be gapped .05" I had to use so many stuck on my gap tool thing that I didn't even want to add them all up. Lets just say no where neat optimal.

Ignition coil was bad, to say the least.

They were arcing, not good. So we took the one from our 01 caravans and slapped it in.

Was temporary till the new one came in.

Alone with wires and plugs.

Runs much better now (obviously lol)
Not bad either since this is the first time they have been changed in 217,000 MILES.

Yep, a 2010 bought in 2011 with 217k miles lol.

That, plus washing my truck was how I spent my afternoon. Decent day in my books. Love working on vehicles. I should go to college for an auto mechanics course.

lol my dad's 97 has the 3.3 engine too (i think it's a 3.3), we changed the rear plugs when it had 265k ish miles, lol. all 3 looked like that one. ran a helluva lot better with new plugs & wires, picked up probibly 5 MPGs too!

Oh for sure. Runs a hell of a lot better haha. Looks cool to with the blue wires lol.

Now all I gotta do is rotors, and pretty much every single suspension component. And steering components.

Thing is rough.

those 3.3L are pretty reliable but in the 90s the trannies were ****.. Prob go through more trannies then spark plugs in those old caravans :p

lol yeah the trans in my dad's '97 took a dump on us at 230k miles. we were gonna scrap it but it turned out the owner of a local trans shop was looking at a car we had for sale. he rebuilt the trans for us and bought the car with a very small profit on our end. i let my dad drive my car and got my ranger to drive :D now the old van has 293k miles on it and is starting to get very tired, lol.

suprisingly the '94 he had before it never had issues with the trans, and we got 300k miles out of it! but it was only a 4cyl, i think it was rated for 94 HP, lol. not much power going through that trans.

i gotta ask, how the hell does a 2010 rack up over 200k miles in a year??

wait a 2010 bought in 2011 with 217K miles? how does that work? that's about 600 miles a day?

my parents 1993 3.3L Caravan went through 3 trannies in 8 years and about 125K miles lol.

we only had 1 caravan, and in 50,000 miles we had to have both the heads replaced, it would go thru 2 quarts every 1,000 miles, and it had the 3.0L out of the Mitsubishi galant

lol my parents own a courier business.
my dad has gone through three 5 ton trucks so far, bought one with 400,000 KMS and when he traded it in it had over a million KMS. the one hes on now has quite a few to. but no where near the end of its life lol.

we rack on the miles. just to get to the city and back home is 300 kms. plus driving all day in the city working.

it adds up

i believe it. I've seen some 2011 Rangers with over 200,000 KMs already in Ottawa

Yep. It ain't hard to do at all. It hasn't been getting much use lately though so it should last a bit longer now.
