my truck with 3.55 rear gets the best mileage around 2,000-2,300 RPM (65 MPH)

With mine its below 2,000. Which is 60mph.

  9. I get an average of 17 mpg (city/highway), around 1900-2400 rpm's. Overdrive on the highway kicks them way down, which helps a lot.

my mileage depends on my mood. lol. if my day is awful i have a heavy foot but if im in good mood i drive 60-65 mph and get a good mileage. i get like what everybody gets in here 17-18 mpg. it also depends on the maintenance of your auto parts

really depends on your final drive ratio. This is including trans type, gear ratio and tire size. For my 96, it likes the higher RPM's, so with 235's and 3.73 gears, 2600-3100 is optimum range. Have not driven the 99 enough to determine yet :p

2,000 RPM- 2,200 RPM or about 65 MPH for my 3.55

Honestly I would say that 0 RPM would give you the best mileage

My 2.3 loves higher rpm's. It shifts smoother at around 3500 RPMs

  15. Agree, the lowest rpm will give the best mileage

probably between 2k to 2.5k. but honestly its the accerlating that kills the mpg. if you hop of the freeway, you can be at 3k, 3.5k, and get 20mpg. obvisouly lower rpm will give you better, but constant rpm is the best.

ive heard the 1500 rpm but ive found a 4L,std trans will lug a bit in 5th gear at 1500 so IMO id try for 1700 rpm and monitor
