i have a 88 ranger i have to let the gas off to make it shift .. i was told it has electric shift not vacuum so i crawled under truck and saw the wire plugged into back of trans near the speedo cable i am thinking this is the shifting wire were do i trase this to to see if problem with wire or connector etcc.
