So I was told that my ass end, and at this point my whole truck, shakes because of broken chords in the tires. Well, after new tires that DIDN'T have broken chords, it still shakes side to side. I'm almost positive that it's not the wheel bearings, but I have been wrong before. How can I check to see if they're bad? Also, when I'm on the highway, I notice that the wheel shimmies when I'm going around corners. That I'm guessing is from my alignment being so far off. Hubs are fine, diff is fine, and CVs are fine too. Passenger side tie rod was just replaced too. Any ideas on why it feels like I'm riding on top of a damn shakeweight?

All I need is a 6 point 13mm socket instead of a 12 pt. But my dumbass went out and bought the wrong drive. But this convo is going to fb before it sways off topic. I've gotta start working on keeping my threads on topic.
It does need shocks... The rear ones leak oil. I should just make up a thread about every little thing that's wrong with this truck and let y'all go to town on it haha
You might have a universal Joint that is bad. I'm in the process of changing mine. It shakes pretty bad going down the road also.
Does the entire truck shake? Mine does especially around turns. And that's really the only thing that I can think of that would be causing it.
Its possible that it could make it shake when turning. My truck shakes pretty good when I go down the highway. One way to tell if its a u joint is when your going down the highway and its shakeing really bad when your foot is on the gas and when you let off and it smooths out most likely it would be a U joint then.
Sometimes it does, other times it doesn't. But then when I step on the gas it gets worse. So that could very well be it. What did it cost you to replace it? Oh, and the truck doesn't do it constantly... Only some of the times. Like today I drove 30 miles and it barely shook, but other days it'll shake like there's a pissed off gorilla in the bed
and that was at a machine shop to press the old ones out and new ones in..... may have even been 73 that number just popped in my head for some reason....
I bet it's your u joints as well.. You did mention you had a bad pinion gear correct?? That wipes them out sooooo fast
