Coming home from work the other night driving at interstate speed, my Ranger starting losing power, lurching and then the engine stalled. Started working my way to the shoulder and noticed the check engine, battery anti-lock warning lights came on. Rolled to a stop and notice the headlights and dash lights at half bright brightness. Also the phone charger in the cigarette lighter died as well. Once on the shoulder, I turned lights and ignition off. As I was contemplating which tow truck to call I thought to give a start a try. Started up and everything came back like nothing had happened. Took it to my favorite shop yesterday. They tested alternator, battery and fuses. I was scheduled for an oil change so I asked them inspect the electrical from underneath. Then they road tested it for an hour and no symptoms.

So has anybody here had this experience? Years ago I had a Chevy S-10 with a bad ignition switch and the symptoms seem similar.
