Okay, so I'm new here and I posted a few pictures of my 1978 F-100 Flareside Ranger in the intro section.

I'm having an issue with the slop in the steering column. The tie rod, pitman arm, drag link and center link has been check for tightness. The rag joint is good as well. The gear box has been replaced with a rebuilt OEM part. The slop is on the input shaft of the gear box. (just like the original one was) My steering wheel moves about 2 inches before the wheels start to turn.

I want to get an upgraded gear box. Does anybody know of a good manufacturer of gear boxes? Where should I buy from?

    Thanks,

    Ed
