Not knowing I shouldn't have, I adjusted the throttle plate stop screw on my 98 2.5 Ranger.

I read that in the event that happens, simply to unplug the Idle Control Valve and adjust the idle to about 800 RPM.
Then plug the ICV back in.

I did just that and it seems to be running fine

Is that the proper way to set the throttle stop screw?
    If not, what is?

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry man...we are still a pretty small site, so sometimes it take a little time to get responses.
