Part Help- 97 Ranger XLT

Have a 97 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4. 4.0 EFI Anyway on the driver side in the engine compartment in the front side. down between battery an radiator there is plastic container mounted about 5 1:2 inches tall by about 4in wide with 2 small rubber lines running into top of it has two black caps on top that come off but I have clue what this is an if it needs service or what. Won’t let me download a pic. If u email me I can send pic. Hope this makes sense, Thanks.
 
Yea pic would be nice. The only think I could think of it would be Clutch master cylinder fluid cup. But it has only 1 rubber hose.
