pics of tv , dvd player and the spkrs These pics are of the subwoofer back side, the pic of the connectors are not uploading will try again
back of tv again and the last 3 pics shown are of what I was thinking just a dvd player but it is a RCA home theater deal, So how can I hook up the tv to play the sound through the rca theater and the p7 speakers
ok, so to get tv sound through the rca I use my tv audio out to the rca unit Aux in? would that be correct?
no that does not work lol I do have a 3.5mm jack on the front of the rca theater system marked audio in I just found , so I guess I need an adapter to go from rca cable to the 3.5 plug to get the tv sound to work through the unit. other than that it works, what is the optical connector I have optical on the tv and on the rca unit is that for sound or just video? I will plug it in since I have a cable for it and see what it does lol
Alright OPTICAL cable gives sound from tv through the system !!!! woo hoo So I guess no need for any adapter and I learned about the optical cable, I just assumed since it says optical I figured it was for picture or video Wrong it is sound /Audio So all is good and no receiver is needed. So I am happy with her 200 dollar mistake purchase as it sounds great for what it is. thanks for trying Andrew
your welcome, and glad her mistake actually ended up being a good thing, 200 for surround sound is a great deal
