How To: Remove Door Panel/Swap Mirrors 98+ Rangers

    In this How To, you will learn how to remove your door panels and replace your side mirrors on a 98+ with manual windows and locks.

    Tools Required:
    Flat Screw Driver
    Philips Head Screw Driver
    T15 Torx
    Ratchet
    11mm Socket
    Extension

    Step 1
    Use a philips head screw driver to remove the two screws that secure your door panel in place. There is one in the handle of the door and the other is located on the bottom left corner.

    Step 2
    Use a flat head screw driver to pop off the cover on the handle used to roll up your window.

    Step 3
    Use your T15 torx to remove the screw securing the handle in place.

    Step 4
    Push the lock down and lift up on your door panel and it will pull off.

    Step 5
    Peel back the plastic on the top left of the door to reveal two holes where you can see nuts which secure your mirror to the door. There are three nuts which need to be removed. Use an 11mm socket with an extension to remove the three nuts. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DROP THEM INTO THE DOOR.

    Step 6
    Now that you have successfully removed your mirror you can put on your new mirror by putting the three nuts back on.

    Step 7
    After securing your new mirror to the door, re-attach your door panel by following these steps backwards.
