.GIF Avatar question

Chuck Norris Drove a Ram
I noticed that some members have .Gif pics as their avatars (moving pictures) I tried adding one and it just stays stationary. Any insight would be appreciated.
 
oh craig where are you this is a question for you.... lol sorry wish i could help.... but craig is the only one i know of that does the .gif pics alot.....
 
ah i should have figured, I saw he has a .gif avatar. Hopefully he will chime in :)

I uploaded it from my desktop. I did it through the admin control panel. But I think the resizing may be in there for you guys somewhere. I will take a look at that too
 
It looks like it can only be done in the Admin panel. I think that your issue may have been a size issue. I took the GIF you sent me, uploaded it to Photobucket.com, downloaded it to the desk top and reinserted it. I know certain ones like Craigs will work due to the size so I think in the GIF you have the size wasnt allowing it to move. I could be wrong, but I'm still learning this stuff so bear with me lol

Was it too small or too big or something? I hear ya this .Gif stuff is cool but complex
