Hello, I have a 91 ranger 4x4 with a 4.0 I am wondering if anyone know's how to get more power to pull a large trailer on a daily bases.unsure: I love my Range and don't want to have to sell it for a larger truck..

Air intake and exhaust will get you some more power. Also, what's your axle code? Higher ratio gears also help in hauling a trailer. And welcome to rf.net!
Welcome to the Ranger Forum. I moved your thread to the drivetrain section. What size/kind of trailer are you looking to pull? Also do you know its GVW?
I agree with the lower gears. 3.73s would help and 4.10s would do wonders as long as its not a lot of highway driving
Perhaps a 5.0L swap depending on your budget. even the more modern SOHC 4L is more powerful but if youre going to go through that much trouble might as well do the V8 swap.
Welcome. More pulling power can be gained by getting 4.10s in the rear. What also helped me was putting a set of headers and a full exhaust system on it.
