Worth the trip

Made the 3 1/2 hr one way trip overnight to Hooligan's to pick up the wheels at midnight. Got home about 6am after a snooze stop. Nice to put a face to a name, Clint is a great guy full of knowledge which he freely shares. He gave me a few other pieces to help with various lighting mods which were greatly appreciated. I would encourage anyone seeking help and guidance with mods or upgrades to make the trip to meet him face to face, it will be worth the trip!
Thanks Clint!
PS the steppy got 26.2 MPG for the trip which I think is great!

it seems like older cars had precise column shifters. I once moved my brothers 1980 dodge b100 van out of the driveway so i only used Drive and Park but it felt really precise, a bit clunky but i rather have a clunky shifter then a vague one :p.

^they do...and take away an extra seat...
the only time i`d probably use the middle seat in the front is if I had a single cab full size, other then that I`d have bucket seats any day of the week. Heck i`d love to have the expo center console in my truck one day :D

i love having the extra seat in my F150...and i dont find any column shifter to be vague...my 00 Windstar work van has a very precise shifter

if you drive an automatic, how precise does it even need to be? all the way up is park, simple unless you're a ****ing moron. one down is reverse. again, simple unless you're a moron. 2 down from there is drive, huzzah! how many automatic drivers do you think manually shift their gears anyways? can't shift gears when you're too busy texting as you eat mcdonalds and apply your make up/shave your face depending on your ***.

i know i said earlier in this thread that i hated my ranger's shifter, but at the same time it had 115k miles and i treated the trans like a redheaded step child. y'all have like a whole page on a column shifter. there are bigger worries in life than how lazy your auto trans makes you. as a lazy american, i approve that message
