FS: RF.net Special 06+ Fender Badge Led Plate Mod (ky)

The Next 4 & More

BUMP!

All of the "First Five" are finished & the last couple are almost ready to send out.

That brings us to the next round.... The Next Four sets.

Another Special Pricing run of FOUR sets, either the Original Flush Mount or the New Outline version, your choice of colors: Red, White, Blue, Yellow or Orange... and SOON I'll have enough led's for Green.

This time around they're FREE Plus $45 shipping & handling per set (sorry no combined shipping discounts)
Shipping for the first 5 was more than I anticipated :(

ALSO

For you guys with the same 06+ style fender badges on your tailgates... I'm going to be making some SINGLE led badge plates so you can add some additional lighting to your tailgates. I'm thinking the New Outline style will be the most popular version for this as they'll give more light than the Original Flush version, but I'll leave that up to you.
You can connect them to your running/parking/license plate lights, to your brake lights or to a dedicated switch in the cab.
Check your local ordinances, etc. concerning different colored lights on the rear of your trucks, but I believe either Red, Orange or Yellow should be OK in most areas.
Please note: I can't be held responsible for any issues you may encounter with your local authorities if you choose a color that they don't approve of. :p

The Single Badge Plates will run $25 each FREE shipping in the USA (Shipping to Canada will likely be a little more).

I have a few of each style led badge plate cut out, some have already been drilled for led's, just waiting to install the color YOU want.

Assembly of these should go a little quicker than the first batch as I'm developing & improving my assembly techniques with each set I do. Still, please allow about a week after payment for them to be completed.... especially during the freezing winter weather. I'm freezing my butt off as it is now

As before, I'll update the thread as these 4 sets are spoken for.

I've done a little work on a prototype for the classic ranger & xlt badges, but it's sloooow going & it looks like they'll all have to be the "Outline" versions due to the lack of space in which to work in.

One of the guys over at R/Fcom posted a great write up & video. I won't link directly to it, but the title of his thread is " Buggman Fender Badge LED Install!!!! " any of you internet savvy folks who would like to take a gander at it should be able to find it fairly easy though.

I'm working on a new mod that will allow dual intensity for the led fender plates & led oval rings. Same color, just two brightness levels.

This mod will connect to your parking lights (low intensity) so the led plates will be on whenever your parking lights are on AND connect to your turn signals (high intensity) so the led plates will get brighter/dimmer with your turn signals.

If you DO NOT have your parking lights on, the led's will only blink on/off at the high intensity level.

That was much harder to describe than a video, so I'll see if I can get something put together this weekend for a better demo.

Small update with VIDEOS!!

Dual intensity mod as of now:

I love it! The only way this could be better was if you offered your Ovals in red and did the dual inensities with them for brake lights ;)

And whats the price lookin like for these dual intensities?

I can do the led oval rings in Red, White, Blue, Green, Yellow & Orange... the dual intensity should work on the oval rings as well as the fender badge plates.

When my new parts come in for the dual mod I'll know for sure on pricing, but I'm hoping to keep them close to the same as they are now... maybe just a couple bucks more. :p

Once I have the new parts, I'll be working on the retrofit for the original single intensity versions too.
