Black headlights I have some of the black projector headlights for my 2002 Ranger. They are sitting in a box in the living room floor waiting to be installed. I was wanting to see if there was an easy way to switch the lights out. All the stuff I've seen on some other forums say these are basically a pain in the ass to install. Anybody got any suggestions??

If your truck is anything like mine, they will be fairly simple to install. Did your come with HID's? If so, that's a whole different write-up. There should be 3 bolts holding your light housings in place, 2 on the side facing inward towards the radiator, and one on top near the corner. After the bolts are out, you should then proceed to wiggle the headlights towards you. Once you have the headlight partially out, disconnect all the wires. Be careful not to break the exposed bulbs. Now your headlights should be ready to fit right in place.. Plug the bulbs into the projector lights and you should be ready to mount the lights. Just line everything up and slide it on in. If everything is correct, it should be flush with everything. Now just put the nuts and bolts on and they should work. You'll need to adjust the lights as well. Don't know how it's done on the Rangers, but on my truck there's a screw at the top, turn it left for up and right for down.. or you can just take it to a shop
I don't think the Ranger is as easy as the F150 though. Post underhood pics of your truck with closeups of the headlight top, side and back. Maybe then we can help you out.
Ok! Try this! Open the hood. Look directly above the headlight. There are two black pull tabs, pull straight up on both. The whole headlight assembly will come out.
^^ Damn, if that works... That is exactly how newer Volvo lights come out and it's too easy! Nice (maybe).
Installed em earlier today. Wasn't nearly as bad as I had heard! Could just be that I have small hands though. Here's the pictures!! Before... During... After...
If that looks crap on your plate holder, then you might try to really look upon on the other branded parts like what altec and other brands would give to you. I'm sure it would look good in the long run.
