I've looked at the aftermarket pop and locks. What is the best way to lock a luckless tailgate?

There are locks that will mount to the right side of the tailgate. LMC Truck offers a McGard Tailgate Lock for $22.95. I have a MasterLock tailgate lock on my F250. I am looking at solutions also so my tailgate on my 94 doesn't get stolen.

Yep,unless Mr. Thief has a torex, socket you are probably safe with the side hinge insert, most tailgate thieft around here is druggy opportunity and believe it or not, not much demand for used tailgates..OH, unscrew the inside panel(more Torex)and write your license plate number and name with a felt pen inside the gate
